What’s NearHero?

NearHero is a user-powered on-demand service platform for iOS and Android. We created a community/universe of talented people who provide services, as well as request services. Instead of creating two different apps, one for Heroes and one for Customers, we decided to creat one app that allows users to be both. Every use has the option to be either a Customer, a Hero, or both. You decide. We believe in community and helping each other out, and what better way than being able to help people by not only offering a service, but also requesting a service.

What’s a Hero?

A Hero is a super talented NearHero service provider They’re pros at their speciality and are available to help save the day! We have Heroes for nearly everything. Dog walkers, electricians, photographers, home cleaners, car detailers, you name it, we most likely have a Hero for it! How Do I Become a Hero? Becoming a hero is easy! Simply download NearHero and select “BE A HERO” at sign up. Once you complete your profile and add pass a simple background check, you’ll be all set to start grabbing gigs and taking job requests.

How Do i Post a Gig?

Gigs are easy and free. Tab the middle icon on the navigation. Select the profession, describe your mission and post it. Heroes nearby are notified and will respond to your need.

Can i Hire Someone Directly?

Yes you can. Simply find the hero on the NearHero map, view their profile and hire them directly by selecting hire me from their profile.

Why Do You Need My ID?

We value safety more than anything at NearHero. Our users trust us and we want to ensure they have the safest experience possible. Every Hero must verify their account by uploading a picture of a government issued identification. A simple background check will be conducted. If everything checks out, Heroes will be granted full access to NearHero.

Why Do You Need My DOB and personal information?

As mentioned before, we value safety more than anything, for this reason we don’t process payments and deposits ourselves. We use Stripe™ Payments to securely manage this for us. They require this information to process payments. You can read more about Stripe’s requirements here.

Why Do You Need My Banking Information?

This is how Heroes get paid 💸 Once you’re ready to Cash Out your earnings, you’ll need to provide us with a bank account to deposit your money. We use Stripe™ Connect for this, we never hold on to your banking info. We don’t even see it. It’s all safe with Stripe.
