What is NearHero?
A neighborhood feed for the moment you need a person, not a call center. Post what you need done, or post the service you actually do.
Does NearHero take a cut?
No. NearHero takes no percentage and no cut. All the money goes to the hero. You agree the price in chat.
Does NearHero manage the job?
No. NearHero does not manage, monitor, or micromanage what users say, agree, or do with each other. The visit, the work, and the payment are between the two of you.
How do I know who I am meeting?
Every account needs a portrait and at least one social. Check that social yourself before you meet in person. NearHero does not verify it for you.
Why can’t I post or message yet?
Add a portrait photo on your portfolio first. Neighbors should see a real face before you post or open a chat.
How long can a video be?
Keep it short. NearHero uses the first 15 seconds.
Can I delete a photo or video?
Yes. Open your portfolio card. Photos and videos you posted stay there, and you can delete one any time.
How do I put NearHero on my phone?
Use the Add to Home Screen guide. On an iPhone, Safari has to do it. A website cannot open that window for you.
