Terms of Use

Last updated October 31, 2026. Using NearHero means you agree to these terms.

NearHero is a meeting place, not the job.

NearHero lets people post what they need and what they can do. We do not hire the hero. We do not hire you. We do not send anyone to a job, set the price, hold the money, or stand behind the work.

NearHero does not manage, monitor, or micromanage user interactions. What you say in chat, what you agree, where you meet, and whether the work gets done is between the people involved. We do not watch those conversations, supervise the visit, or step in to run the deal.

You deal with each other.

Any gig, deal, photo, video, or message is created by a user, not by NearHero. You are responsible for what you post and for checking the other person before you meet, including their social media. If you meet in person, you do that at your own risk.

You agree the price in chat. NearHero takes no percentage and no cut. Payment goes between you and the other person. NearHero is not a party to that payment, does not process it, and is not responsible if someone does not pay, does not show, or does the work badly.

No warranty.

NearHero is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that a person is who they say they are, that they are skilled, licensed, insured, or safe, that a post is accurate, or that the site will always be up.

Limitation of liability.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NearHero and its owners, operators, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, death, property damage, theft, loss of money, bad work, no-show, delay, dispute, or other harm that comes out of a user interaction, a meeting, a job, a payment, or content someone posted.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, even if we were told they might happen. If a claim against NearHero is allowed anyway, our total liability for that claim is limited to the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars or the amount you paid NearHero for the use that gave rise to the claim. You pay NearHero nothing to use the site, so that cap is one hundred dollars unless a law requires more.

Some places do not allow certain limits. Where a law says we cannot limit liability, that part is limited only as far as that law allows. The rest of these terms still apply.

You cover us.

If someone brings a claim against NearHero because of your post, your message, your meeting, your work, your payment, or your use of the site, you agree to defend NearHero and its owners and to cover their losses, damages, and reasonable legal costs, to the extent the law allows.

Your account.

You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login to yourself. We may remove a post or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. Closing an account does not make NearHero responsible for what already happened between users.

These terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the other parts stay in effect. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continuing to use NearHero after that means you accept the update.
